We understand that creating a keepsake with cremations is a deeply personal decision, and you may have questions about how the process works. To help guide you, we’ve answered some of the most common questions below. Our hope is to bring you clarity, comfort, and peace of mind every step of the way.
💛 How much cremation is needed?
We only need about one teaspoon of cremated remains, and you will receive most of that back. A single teaspoon can be used to create multiple items. Whether you visit our studio or place an order by mail, a collection kit will always be provided, and we only use what is necessary.
💛 What does the process look like when I come to the studio?
When you schedule an appointment, you’ll visit our home studio in Chapel Hill, TN. During your time here, we will go over colors, styles, and designs together, finding what best fits you based on your preferences and budget.
Once we’ve finalized your design, we will carefully place the cremations into one of our collection cups. Our typical lead time is about 2 weeks, but if you need your order by a certain date, we’ll do our best to accommodate. When your piece is finished, we will set up another appointment for you to return and pick it up.
💛 What does the shipping process look like?
If you’re mailing cremations to us, we’ll send you a collection kit with everything you need, including:
An instruction form
A price sheet and order form
A collection cup and spoon
When you’re ready to ship, cremated remains must be mailed using USPS Priority Express along with the free cremation kit available from the post office. (The mailing kit itself is free, but shipping typically costs $25-$50) Once we receive your package, we will contact you immediately to confirm its safe arrival.
We will accept cremations from other carriers.
💛 How long will it take to receive my keepsake?
Our standard lead time is 2 weeks once we have received your cremations. If you have a special date or occasion in mind, please let us know, and we will do our best to meet your timeline.
